The WMS PTO is beginning our Fall Fundraising Program. We are starting with a Readathon.
What is a Readathon?
A simple idea where students read books during a set period, and sponsors family members, neighbors, staff, etc. – donate money to support their reading. We’re raising funds to enhance students’ academic experience during their Middle School year. Proceeds from this fundraiser will provide the means for assemblies, special events, art, music, field trips, supplies, and new technology that is used to enhance students learning in the classroom. All of our students benefit from this program, so we ask everyone to help by encouraging your child to get sponsored while they enjoy reading. Your participation is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
The kick-off date is Wednesday, September 21, 2022, to Wednesday, October 5, 2022. This virtual fundraising is sponsored by getmovinfundhub.com; ensure to register your child to participate!
Effective September 21, 2022, parents will receive information on how to register their child(ren) into the FunHub website with GetMovin’s so we can keep track their reading minutes and sponsorship goals. The PTO will be offering individual rewards to those who meets their reading hours or sponsorship goals. Top achiever homeroom students will receive a lapel pin, a certificate and the Homeroom will receive a Trophy along with bragging rights! Let’s all get to read our favorite book! *All students who register for the Readathon, will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Mystery gift!
